Adamawa: Father Of Three Commits Suicide After Fight With Wife

An Adamawa State resident whose name is given as Vandu Weida has reportedly committed suicide after a misunderstanding with his wife.

Reports made available to Naija News revealed that the 29-year-old man drank a poisonous substance suspected to be herbicide.

The resident of Mildu Central, in the Madagali Local Government Area of the state, reportedly got into a heated argument with his wife on Tuesday, October 5.

A source who spoke to newsmen on the incident, said Weida during the fight, told his wife that he was tired of their relationship together and is as well fed up with the world and preferred to die this time.

After the brawl, Weida proofed his claim and allegedly went and drank the poisonous substance. He was later found on the ground gasping for breath.

It was, however, too late when he was rushed to the Mubi General Hospital, as he was confirmed dead upon arrival. The chemical he consumed is said to have already damaged his intestines.

When contacted on the incident, the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Suleiman Nguroje, said he was not aware of the incident yet, but promised to get back after contacting the Madagali Police Division.

However, the Punch reports that the police mouthpiece is yet to reach out as at the time the report was given.

In another news earlier, a middle-aged Nigerian man boasted that he can use his parents for money ritual without giving it a second thought.

The desperate young who appeared in a viral video boldly told an interviewer that if his parents had maximized their youthful age, they would have thrived to make life easier for him as their child, Naija News reports.
