A pregnant woman alongside two other people have been arrested by the Yobe State Police Command for staging her abduction.

The States Public Relation Officer, ASP Dungus Abdulkarim disclosed to newsmen on Tuesday, Oct. 4 in Damaturu that the supposed kidnap had occurred on October 1st when the false victim Nafisa Saleh was on her way to Damaturu specialist hospital for an antenatal checkup at about 7am.

The police stated that further investigation into the incident showed that Nafisa had planned the whole abduction alongside two other suspects known as Mail Goni Modu and Umar Mai Gudusu of Dadinge Village.

The police later arrested the two suspects and rushed Nafisa to the hospital due to complaints.

He said: “Investigation later revealed that the said Nafisa turned out to be the mastermind of her alleged abduction for ransom from her husband and family members.

“Police detectives in Damaturu have uncovered the heinous activities and eventually arrested two suspects, namely: Mal Goni Modu and Umar Mai Gudusu all of Dadinge Village, Gujba LGA, while Nafisa was rushed to hospital for medical attention due to complaints of her health status”
