Nigerian Army Brutalize Youths For Protesting Against Cattle Grazing

No fewer than ten 10 youths of Nde Community in Ikom Local Government Area of Cross River were reportedly brutalized by the Nigerian military for allegedly protesting against cattle grazing.

According to Emmanuel Egba, who shared the video on his Instagram page, the youths were dehumanized and brutalized for pleading with the herdsmen to leave their land after destroying their produce. 

He added that the incident prompted the monarchs and locals to cry out for help.

Sharing the video, he wrote; 

“This is totally wrong and barbaric Reposted from @stkingso Nigerian Army Ikom, brutalizing villagers for protesting against cattle grazing in their farmland in cross river state.

“No fewer than 10 youths of Nde Community in Ikom Local Government Area, Cross River State were brutalised by soldiers, prompting residents and monarchs to cry out to the military and state government for help

“Nde community in Ikom local government area of CRS is currently on fire as military men dehumanized the community youths who pleaded with the ‘herdsmen’ to leave their land after destroying almost all their produce…

“Ikom people are peaceful people please leave us alone.”
