A Nigerian preacher, Reverend Eliyah Emeka, has revealed how the embattled leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, would be released from detention.

Naija News reports that Kanu was arrested and extradited to Nigeria in June this year to face trial.

The Biafra agitator was remanded in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) after he was re-arraigned.

On July 26, Binta Nyako, judge of the federal high court, Abuja, adjourned the trial of Kanu till October 21, owing to the failure of the federal government to produce him in court.

Speaking on the freedom of the secessionist while preaching to his congregation during the weekend, Rev’d Emeka who is the spiritual head of the Throne of Eliyah’s Ministry International, Abia State, said Kanu will eventually be freed by the Nigerian authorities.

Describing his ‘prophetic message’ as “very very sweet”, the clergyman said; “Nobody can kill Nnamdi Kanu. They will release him and take him back. He will go back and the race will continue.

“So nobody can kill him. It’s a good message. The hope of Nnamdi Kanu’s followers is intact.”
