Soludo Sacks 1,000 Anambra Teachers, Explains Why

A former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo has revealed that Anambra State loses N19.6 billion every day there is an enforcement of the sit-at-home order by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the forthcoming Anambra election, stated this at an enlarged meeting with Anambra Elders and Stakeholders Forum, and Forum of Heads of Broadcast Media Stations in Anambra State.

He called on the people to stop spilling blood in the State to stop and reconsider their actions as such it doesn’t define who Anambra people are.

“Anambra State economy loses an estimated sum of N19.6 billion every time the sit-at-home directive is enforced in the state. Such actions do not define who we are. That is why we are calling on those responsible to stop because we are hurting ourselves,” Soludo said.

Naija News earlier published an editorial titled: ‘Before South-East becomes North-East’ which argued that the paralysis of economic activities and lawlessness in the South-East negate the people of the zone represents.

Asking what “happened to the time-tested Igbo mores of Onye aghana nwanne ya, Ako n’Uche, Igba mbo, Ndu b’Isi?” the editorial asserted that “happenings in the South-East in recent times are indeed alien to what the people of the zone represent”.
