Notorious Bandit Killed In Kaduna

Some gun-wielding men suspected to be bandits have reportedly killed no fewer than 30 persons in a fresh attack in Niger state.

The disturbing incident according to information obtained by Naija News, happened in Sarkin Pawa, headquarters of Munyan local government area of the state.

It was gathered that the assailants in their large numbers first attacked Kachiwe village and later spread to other adjourning villages in the area.

Naija News learnt they came into the communities riding on motorcycles and started shooting sporadically to scare the villagers during which the reported figures were killed.

Reacting to the disturbing incident in a statement made available to newsmen on Thursday, the Secretary to the Niger State Government, Ahmed Ibrahim Matane, said the State Government is not leaving any stone unturned in its efforts at combing the terrorists out of the state and bringing them to face the law.

Matane appealed to residents of the state to provide security agencies with credible information to succeed.

He said: “What is happening to us in Niger State in terms of insecurity is beyond our power and this is why we are calling on the Federal Government to come to our rescue immediately.”

The fresh attack Naija News understands is coming barely a month after bandit terrorists kidnapped the district head of Wawa community in Borgu Kingdom of Niger State, Dr. Mahmud Ahmed Aliyu.

The gunmen had attacked the palace of Ahmed Aliyu during the weekend and abducted him at gunpoint, Naija News recalls.
