He said the ₦10,000 compensation given by the chairman of Yunusari LGA, Dauda Busari and the lawmaker representing the constituency, Musa Dambari does not bring back the lives of their loved ones neither is it sufficient to cater for the treatment of those injured.

“Nine people were killed and 24 people injured,” Musa said in a chat with The Cable.

He added that “I was at the farm when the blast happened. There are people that died in my family. In the town nine people died and in my family alone two people died. We are of the same mother and father. Their names are Mohammed and Ibrahim Audu.”

“They were in a tricycle when the incident happened. Politicians came to the hospital and gave N10,000 to the victims and families of the people that died.

“The local government chairman, Dauda Busari and Ahmed Musa Dabouri are the politicians that came to share the money.

“The N10,000 they gave us is not enough to treat those that were injured and can’t return the lives of the dead. We want them to do more for us because we lost lives and properties.

Naija News recalls when the incident happened, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) denied reports that it carried out air strike on a village in Yunusari Local Government Area of Yobe State.

In a swift reaction on Wednesday, Director of Public Relations and Information, NAF, Edward Gabkwet, denied such operation took place.

But a few hours later, specifically on Thursday, NAF made a u-turn and admitted carrying out airstrikes on Buhari village in Yunusari LGA of Yobe state.

A statement signed by NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, Edward Gabkwet, said the airforce carried out the strike based on intelligence reports.

According to NAF, its aircraft spotted movement consistent with Boko Haram terrorists’ behaviour whenever a Jet is overhead before opening fire.

While admitting receiving reports that innocent citizens were killed, NAF stated that a board of inquiry has been commissioned to carry out an investigation into the incident.
