After a bad start to the English Premier League season, Arsenal continued their rebirth with a 3-1 victory over local rivals Tottenham.

Arsenal who came into the game with two wins on the bounce following a historical poor start, needed to defeat a Tottenham side that started the season brightly but faded off.

Emile Smith-Rowe got the opening goal for Arsenal to set the tone for the North London Derby after a fine assist from Saka.

Captain Pierre Aubameyang got a second for the Gunners after a superb play and a precise cut-back from Smith-Rowe before Saka made it three with a fine finish after a scrappy play.

Son pulled one back for Spur in controversial circumstances but that was not enough to drag the LillyWhites back into the game.

This victory lifts Arsenal back into the top ten after staying rock bottom with just three games played.

Arteta who finally had the opportunity to field his strongest eleven would hope Xhaka’s injury isn’t serious to keep it out for a long time.
