Military Kills Top Boko Haram Commander Abou Hurairah, Others

Boko Haram terrorists have moved to the North West region of the country to train bandits on how to use military arms and ammunition.

Speaking to AFP on Friday, military sources said a faction loyal to slain Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau, based in Borno State had dispatched two commanders and 250 fighters to the Rijana forests in Kaduna State.

The sources said both commanders are allies of Bakoura Buduma, a Boko Haram chief who remains loyal to Shekau and whose fighters are resisting ISWAP consolidation, according to security sources.

They are the masterminds behind some of the abductions in the North-West,” one of the military sources said.

Both sources said Boko Haram militants were also training the bandits in the use of anti-aircraft guns and explosives and other weapons.

Buduma, the leader of the ‘unrepentant’ Boko Haram, operates at a border area between Nigeria and the Niger Republic.

Recall that the Nigerian military warned that a Boko Haram commander and foot soldiers were moving across the country from their base in Borno State to Kaduna State in the North-West.

Meanwhile, military fighter jets have bombed the various camps of Buduma, two days after he deployed terrorists to join bandits in a forest in Kaduna.

It was gathered that jets of the Multi-National Joint Task Force (MNJTF) bombarded the Kusulu and Toumboun Adashe camps located in the South West of Lake Chad.

Military sources revealed that the camps were destroyed the MNJTF air troops killing dozens of Boko Haram terrorists, with many sustaining injuries.

The MNJTF aerial raid was aided by the collaboration of French forces. The counter-insurgency operation at the terrorists’ camps took place on Wednesday.

It was, however, unclear as to whether Buduma was affected by the military attack, but it was gathered that some of Buduma’s fighters were deployed to North-west and dominate a forest close to Rigachikun in Kaduna State.

A source told PRNigeria that the terrorists now rustle cattle and kidnap people to their den at a forest close to Rigachikun in Kaduna State.
