DJ Switch, the heroine of the Lekki Tollgate shooting that occurred on the 20th of October, 2020, who reportedly fled to Canada after receiving death threats has debunked the claims.

Naija News understands that reports had emerged claiming DJ Switch sought asylum after receiving death threats for revealing that soldiers shot at peaceful #ENDSARS protesters at Lekki Toll Gate and was reportedly granted.

But, in a new post on her Instagram stories, the entertainer debunked claims of ever been granted a Canada visa.

According to her, she has been in a safe house for months and was never granted any asylum.

She also noted that she’s only just travelled, adding that it was not Canada as popular news outlets claimed.

DJ Switch stated that when issues/stories are not properly investigated, it turns back to hurt people in real life.

Her post reads; “To the people who know me so well, i don’t really share, except my craft, art comments on social issues that affect us all.

“But let me say this.. news outlets and bloggers, I know traffic is the game but when you don’t really investigate properly and run with things that you don’t know for sure or have verified, you sincerely hurt and in some cases cause serious complications for people in “Real Life”

“I’ve been cooked up in a house for months. I never got Asylum in Canada. I didn’t even speak to anyone who claimed they spoke to me on the issue.

“Anyways, I will leave it there.

“By the way, it is now that I am travelling.. and it is not to Canada! Love”
