Death is inevitable and losing a loved one can be so devastating for anyone regardless of their social class.

Some Nigerian celebrities, this week have been thrown into mourning after death took away their loved ones, leaving an unforgettable memory in the heart.

Here’s a list of Nigerian celebrities who lost a loved one this week. 

King Sunny Ade

Nigerian Juju singer, Chief Sunday Adeniyi Adegeye, better known as King Sunny Ade, lost his wife, Hon Risikat Ajoke Adegeye to the cold hands of death.

Honourable Adegeye and KSA

In a report obtained by Naija News, Hon Risikat Ajoke Adegeye died on Tuesday, 21st September 2021.

There have been no comments made yet by the African pop musician and the cause of Hon. Adegeye’s death remains unknown.

Nkechi Blessings

Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessings lost her late mother, Gloria Sunday on September 23rd, five days to her birthday. It was reported that the vibrant actress penned down a heartfelt tribute a day after her death.  

According to Nkechi Blessings, her late mother didn’t wait to see the house she built for you as a birthday gift.

Neo Akpofure

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Neo took to his social media handle to announce the death of his brother-in-law, Mike.

According to Neo, the late Mike made his sister the happiest woman on earth. He also added that COVID-19 is real and kills. 

Dance Queen, Kaffy

Award-winning dancer, Khafayat Shafau better known as Kaffy reportedly lost her father some hours after she revealed that she almost died from a grave ailment.

The celebrity dancer announced the unfortunate incident via her Instagram page on 21st September with a photo of a candle on a black background with the caption “#RIP DAD.”
