Presidency Reacts As FBI Rejects Request To Release Documents On Tinubu

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has revealed that he is saddened by the news of the death of King Sunny Ade’s wife, Risikat Adegeye.

The APC stalwart described Hon Adegeye’s death as a painful loss and prayed for the strength to bear the loss as well as for God to grant the soul of the departed eternal rest.

Tinubu made the submission in a condolence message on Wednesday in Lagos issued on his behalf by his media aide, Mr. Tunde Rahman in which he described the deceased as a “dutiful wife and mother.”

Naija News recalls Hon Risikat Ajoke Adegeye died on Tuesday morning at the age of 62 after a brief illness.

She was a lawmaker in the Lagos State House of Assembly between 2007 and 2011 where she represented Amuwo-Odofin Constituency.

Honourable Adegeye and KSA

Tinubu in his reaction condoled with King Sunny Ade, the people of her constituency, the Lagos House of Assembly and the Lagos State Government, and other associates of the late politician whom he described as an eminent woman and grassroots politician.

“Hon. Adegeye was a prominent grassroots politician in Lagos who worked fervently for her Amuwo-Odofin Constituency.

“She was a relentless fighter for what she believed in. I knew her particularly during her time in the sixth Lagos House of Assembly when she represented Amuwo-Odofin Constituency 1.

“She was a dutiful wife and mother.

“I mourn with her family, friends and associates. May we have the strength to live with this loss. I pray that Almighty God grant the soul of Hon. Adegeye eternal rest,” Tinubu said.
