I Joined BB Naija To Represent The North – Yousef

Evicted Big Brother Naija housemate, Yousef, has revealed why he joined the big brother naija reality show.

According to the 29-year-old Secondary School teacher, he joined BBNaija to represent people from the Northern part of the country.

Naija News understands that the reality star stated this during a PUNCH Live interview on Wednesday. Recall that Yousef was evicted from the reality show last Sunday.

Confident with his intention, the Nasarawa State indigene whose birth name is Yusuf Garba, said the North had not been fully represented on the show since it was started in Nigeria.

The model who had won himself some accolades during his university days said he just wanted to make history on BBNaija.

Yousef said, “What pushed me was that a lot of people from the North haven’t really been represented in the show. So I just wanted to make history in the entertainment industry. I wanted it as much as possible.

“I just wanted to make history. I just wanted to go to BBNaija as it’s the biggest platform for any youth out there.

“It was going to change my life and at that moment, things were not going well at home. I was just looking for that dream.”

Yousef was optimistic that he made an impact on the show even if he didn’t make it to the final.

The Shine Ya Eye housemate added: “I think a lot of people started watching the show from that part of the North. They were watching the show because of me and I was surprised.

“Big brother is the biggest platform all over Africa. It’s a place where anybody can make their dreams come through. Big Brother has changed my life from nothing to something.

“BBNaija is a place you can go as far as possible. You can skyrocket from one night to two months. Big Brother has changed my life in just two months,” Yousef reiterated.
