‘You’re A Disgrace For Comparing Agitators To Terrorists’ – MASSOB Tells Gbajabiamila

The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has attacked the Speaker, House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, for allegedly comparing agitators to Boko Haram terrorists.

There have been reports that the Speaker had in his welcome address on Wednesday, allegedly compared IPOB members and Yoruba nation agitators to Boko Haram terrorists.

But in a statement sent to Naija News by his spokesman, Lanre Lasisi, the Speaker denied comparing agitators to terrorists, adding that no name was mentioned in his address.

Reacting, the leader of MASSOB, Uchenna Madu, in a statement by the group’s spokesman, Edeson Samuel, described the unguarded statement of the Speaker as unfortunate.

Madu added that Gbajabiamila as a lawyer ought to know the difference between self-determination and terrorism.

He said, “It is unfortunate for a well-trained lawyer, who is also the Speaker of the nation’s parliament to stoop so low in making such unreasonable and inconsequential comment.

“How could a lawyer, who ought to know the difference between self-determination and terrorism, open his mouth in a public gathering and declared that a man who wants his freedom is the same with criminals that go about kidnapping school children, destroying churches, mosques, killing people at will.

“MASSOB is demanding that Gbajabiamila be taken to a psychiatrist to check if he is mentally ok. It is very clear that the Speaker has been bought over by the Fulanistic cabals that control the Presidency in Aso villa. If not so, then he might be one of the sponsors of Boko Haram and ISWAP.”
