Fani-Kayode Reveals How Buhari Received Him After Defection

The former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has revealed how President Muhammadu Buhari reacted after his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress.

Fani-Kayode claimed that the president on Thursday received him warmly at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The former minister further stated that the President expressed delight after informing him of his official defection to the ruling party.

Fani-Kayode was presented to Buhari on Thursday by the interim chairman of the party, Mala Mai Buni.

The former minister in series of posts on Twitter wrote, “It was an honour and a privilege to visit President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, yesterday in the company of my dear friends and brothers, Governor Mala Mai-Buni and Governor Bello Matawalle.

“Mr President received us very warmly and we had an excellent meeting. I intimated to him of my decision to join the APC and he was delighted with the news.

“Now we move forward together to make our country a better place and to bring peace, love and stability to our shores. God bless Nigeria.”
