The suspects responsible for the death of Abdulkareem Na’Allah, the eldest son of Senator Bala Ibn Na’Allah, have narrated why they killed the pilot.

Earlier, Naija News had reported that two suspects have been arrested by the police in connection with the murder.

Bashir Muhammad and Nasiru Salisu while speaking at the Kaduna State police headquarters on Thursday disclosed that they attacked the residence of Abdulkareem to steal his car.

Bashir who disclosed that he does not know the lawmaker’s son said, “One day, we were passing in front of his house, three of us including Nasiru, me (Bashir) and Usman DanKano when we saw a car parked inside the deceased house.”

“DanKano casually said we will come and pick the car from the house.”

“The next day while it was raining, we gained access into the vicinity of the deceased residence, climbed the rooftop and removed the nails of the roofing sheets.”

“When we got inside the house, Nasiru and I opened the door for Usman who was holding a torchlight.”

“The light from the torch attracted the attention of the deceased and immediately he saw us, he picked something from under his bed and he started struggling with Nasiru.”

“During the struggle, the deceased fell and when he fell, we used a rope for hanging clothes to tire him and he never spoke again. We picked up the car keys and left.”

Salisu while narrating his side of the incident disclosed that Bashir involved him in the operation.

He noted that Bashir tied Abdulkareem up after they had a struggle.

Salisu said, “I bought 23 bags of rice with my share of the money but it was intercepted by customs.”

Meanwhile, the third suspect involved in the robbery, Usman DanKano, is still at large.

The spokesman of the command, Muhammad Jalige, disclosed that the suspects have confessed to the crime, adding that the vehicle was sold in the Niger Republic at the rate of N1 million with the proceed shared amongst them.

He said steps have been taken to apprehend the fleeing suspect and be charged to court for diligent prosecution.
