The Economic and Financial Commission, (EFCC) has moved to calm the anxiety generated after the collapse of its boss, Abdulrasheed Bawa at a public event in Abuja on Thursday.

Naija News recalls the EFCC boss was making a speech at the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja during an event organized by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) when he suddenly slumped and had to be rushed to the hospital.
The development generated a lot of anxiety not only at the event but across the country as the news made its way to news reports.
But the EFCC in a short statement from its Head of Media and Publicity, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, the anti-graft agency has assured that all is in order, Mr. Bawa is doing fine and is expected back at his desk within the shortest possible time.
The agency wrote: “The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Commission, EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa is hale and hearty.
“This clarification became necessary following an incident today September 16, 2021, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja where he was giving a goodwill message to the National Identity Day celebration, felt unwell, and had to return to his seat.
“He has since received medical attention and is due back at his desk.”
