Waste Management Official Allegedly Kills Teenager Over Waste Disposal

The police have arrested a waste management official that allegedly killed a 17 year old boy.

Mr Okeugo Ugonna who works with the Abia State Environmental Protection Agency (ASEPA) was said to be responsible for the death of Daniel Ogbonna along Asa road, Aba, Abia State.

Daniel had gone to the waste receptacle around 5:30pm on Sunday, September 12 to get rid of some waste products, but unfortunately the receptacle was full so he disposed his waste behind the receptacle because others that went before him did the same thing, Linda Ikeji Blog reports.

Daniel was about leaving when he was stopped by Ugonna on the order of another of his colleague known as Biggy.

Ugonna allegedly hit David on the head which made the teenager to fall on the tarred road leading to instant death.

When the unfortunate incident occurred Biggy and Ugonna took to their heels.

Ugonna was successfully apprehended and handed over to the police, while the search for Biggy, who escaped, is still on.
