The Minister of Aviation under the Goodluck Jonathan administration, Femi Fani-Kayode, has reacted go the prison break in Kogi State.

Fani-Kayode on Monday claimed that the Kabba prison break was carried out by people trying to undermine Governor Yahaya Bello-led government.

Naija News had earlier reported that gunmen killed two military officer during the attack on Kabba Custodial Centre.

The attack also saw prisoners released in the early hours of Monday.

The former minister in a post on his Twitter account said the prison break on Monday in Kogi State was contrived.

Fani-Kayode further stated that those behind the attack will hear from them soon.

He wrote, “The prison break & murder of security men in Kogi was contrived. It is a similar plot to the EFCC one.”

“Those behind it need to know that when God is with someone nothing can stop him.”

“Trying to undermine & discredit Yahaya cannot work. Those behind it will hear from us soon.”

Meanwhile, the Kogi State Government has expressed worry over the attack on the Medium Security Correctional Centre in the Kabba area of the state.

In a statement released by the Commissioner for Information, Kingsley Fanwo, the state government condemned the attack on the prison facility and the escape of about 240 inmates.

Fanwo disclosed that some of the inmates who had earlier escaped have been re-arrested, while some returned on their own.
