A former presidential aide, Reno Omokri had reacted to the alleged attack on a military facility in Zamfara State.

There were claims that the gunmen suspected to be bandit terrorists killed nine Air Force officers, Two policemen and a soldier.

The gunmen had reportedly attacked the Forward Operating Base in Mutumji, Dansadau Local Government of Zamfara State on Saturday.

A further report had it that several assailants were also neutralized during the attack.

Reno while reacting to the development in a post on his Facebook account said he hopes the report is not true, adding that if the incident is true, bandits should be referred to as “radical jihadists terrorists”.

He wrote, “I sincerely hope the reports that bandits overran a military base in Zamfara yesterday, and killed 9 airforce officers, 2 policemen and 1 soldier is untrue.

“But if it is, then the time has come to stop calling these people bandits and start calling them by their real name, radical jihadists terrorists.

“Where is safe in Nigeria? Nowhere! General Buhari went to the Southeast to promise Ohana’eze Ndi’Igbo security. Is Katsina secure? Is Zamfara safe? Is Sokoto peaceful?

“If he can’t secure his region, then is it the Southeast he will secure? Buhari himself is part of the problem!”

Recall that President Buhari has made fresh promises to the people of Imo State.

Buhari during his visit to Imo State had assured the state Governor, Hope Uzodinma, that he would help him fight security challenges ravaging the state.
