A popular political activist and convener of Concerned Nigerians, Deji Adeyanju, has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of “technically handing over Nigeria to terrorist groups.

He made the accusation while reacting to a reported attack on the Forward Operating Base in Mutumji, Dansadau Local Government Area of Zamfara State on Saturday.

It was learned suspected bandit terrorists reportedly invaded the military base and gunned down some security agents.

According to a report, several terrorists were also neutralized during the attack by the Nigerian military.

Reacting to the incident in a series of tweets via his Twitter page on Monday, Adejanyu condemned the attack on the military base, adding that the incident confirms that the Buhari “pampers bandits”.

The former PDP member asked the President to sincerely tackle bandits and Boko Haram insurgents and fight insecurity in the country.

The activist claimed that President Buhari was only interested in going after Yoruba Nation and the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) agitators and not bandits and terrorists.

Adeyanju insinuated that Buhari will deploy 30,000 soldiers and police in an attempt to rig the Anambra elections but ignores all the security challenges in the North.

He wrote: “Buhari has technically handed over Nigeria to terrorist groups. The takeover of a military base yesterday in Zamfara confirms this.

“He is not interested in fighting insecurity but critics and the opposition. He hates IPOB and Oduduwa agitators so much but pampers terrorists.

“You will all see how Buhari will deploy 30,000 soldiers and police in an attempt to rig the Anambra elections but he ignores all the security challenges in the North.

“These bandits have brought down a military jet and killed many soldiers and citizens but he is not concerned.”
