Gunmen Kill 13 Persons In Benue Communities

Unknown gunmen have abducted a leader of the Peoples Democratic Party in Edo State, Dickson Imasogie.

According to reports the PDP chieftain was abducted along Agbor road in the early hours of Monday.

It was reported that Imasogie was abducted by the gunmen while on his way to his farm when the gunmen struck.

A further report had it that the politician was kidnapped alongside his driver and one other person who was in the vehicle with him.

In another development, The Deputy Governor of Edo State Philip Shaibu has denied reports that he is plotting to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Reports had emerged on Monday claiming the deputy governor has perfected plans to dump the ruling party.

According to Vanguard, marathon meetings were held outside the country last week between the Edo Deputy Governor and some party bigwigs in the country ahead of his planned defection.
