Kidnappers Of Ondo Muslim Cleric Demand N10 Million Ransom

Unknown gunmen have abducted at least eighteen passengers heading to Lagos in Ondo state.

Naija News gathered that the passengers were travelling in a Toyota Hiace bus before their abduction.

The travellers were said to have been abducted along Idoani-Ifira Akoko in the Akoko South-East Local Government Area of the state.

The gunmen reportedly ordered the passengers out of their vehicle at gunpoint and whisked them into the nearest bush.

The incident reportedly occurred on a failed section of the major road.

Confirming the abduction, the Divisional Police Officer for Isua Akoko, Hakeem Sadiq said the case had been reported to the police and that the anti-kidnapping unit was already working to ensure that the travellers were rescued.

In related news, three workers of President Olusegun Obasanjo have been abducted in Kobape village in Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State.

Naija News gathered that the workers were staff of Obasanjo Holdings situated in the village in Abeokuta.

The three workers were kidnapped around 6pm on their way to work after their Hilux van was shot by the gunmen who whisked them away into the bush.

The workers said to have been kidnapped are the Group Financial Controller, Group Auditor and Group Store Manager.
