The Biafra Nations League (BNL) has warned President Muhammadu Buhari against visiting Imo State, southeast Nigeria.
Naija News reports that Buhari is scheduled to visit Imo State tomorrow, Thursday, to commission some projects.
But in a statement on Wednesday, BNL advised President Buhari to save himself from embarrassment by cancelling his visit to the state.
The statement was signed by the Deputy National Leader of BNL and Head of Operations BBs media, Ebuta Takon.
According to the group, Buhari’s visit would be an insult to the people of Imo State and entire Eastern States for allegedly aligning with the Supreme Court to impose an administrator like Governor Hope Uzodinma against the wishes of the people.
He asked the people of the state not to come out to receive President Buhari tomorrow.
Takon advised people of the state to obey the sit at home order declared by the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.
Recall that Governor Uzodinma had last Saturday told newsmen that Buhari would be in the state on Thursday to commission some projects.
The governor said Buhari will be visiting the state to commission some “significant projects” executed by his administration
He said: “While in Abuja, I secured approval for President Muhammadu Buhari to visit Imo on Thursday, Sept. 9, to commission some significant projects put together by the Shared Prosperity Administration.
“More to that, Imo has been able to attract additional support from Mr President on management of some ecological problems in the state.”
