Former presidential aide and socio-political activist, Reno Omokri, has again grilled President Muhammadu Buhari over the release and special care given to Boko Haram terrorists who claimed to have repented.
Omokri in a post on his social media page said if the terrorists have truly repented, they should expose where the rest of Chibok schoolgirls and other abductees are kept.
Naija News understands that the former aide of Nigeria’s ex-president, Goodluck Jonathan observed this in a post on his Facebook page.
According to him, a recent report by the United Nations indicated that Buhari’s government is aiding and abetting activities of Boko Haram insurgents in Nigeria.
Omokri expressed concerns over reports of insurgents surrendering to Nigerian troops in the Northeast. He said there’s no evidence that they have truly repented, fearing that they will not become a threat to society again.
Omokri’s Facebook post read: “If these Boko Haram militants Buhari is releasing and rewarding are truly repentant, how come they have not told us the location where Leah Sharibu, the Chibok Girls, and other abductees are kept? What exactly is their act of repentance?
“Where is their contrition? What is the evidence that they have changed and are no longer a danger to society? There is none.
“The United Nations released a report on how the Buhari administration is paying these Boko Haramists money and even giving them houses. If they see free money and house, of course, they will pretend to be repentant! It is a no brainer”.
