PDP Releases Timetable, Schedule Of Activities For 2024 Bye Elections

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, will on Saturday hold its National Executive Council (NEC) meeting.

Naija News reports that this was made known by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Kola Ologbondiyan.

He disclosed this on Thursday while briefing newsmen after the party National Working Committee meeting, held in Abuja.

He said, among other things, that, “Elder Yemi Akinwonmi was unanimously affirmed as Acting National Chairman.

“We will be holding our caucus and another NWC meeting tomorrow preparatory to holding our National Executive Council meeting at 12 ‘O’clock on Saturday.“

Naija News reports that the meeting is following the suspension of the PDP national chairman, Prince Uche Secondus by a court.

The Rivers State court had ordered Secondus to stop parading himself as the national chairman or a member of the party.

Justice O. Gbasam of the State High Court sitting in Degema LGA said that the suspension remains pending the hearing and determination of motion on notice for interlocutory injunction.
