Finally, Bandit Terrorists Release Over 70 Kidnapped Tegina Islamiya Pupils [Photo]

Bandit terrorists have released over 70 pupils of Islamiyya school in Tegina town who were kidnapped in Niger State.

Naija News had reported how the students were abducted from the Islamic school on May 30 in broad daylight by bandit terrorists.

A security source told PRNigeria that the students are on their way to Minna en route Kagara from Birnin Gwari.

The principal of Salihu Tanko Islamiyya School in Tegina, Niger State, Abubakar Alhassan, had recently announced the death of six out of 136 abducted students.

According to Alhassan, the bandits called to inform him that the six students had died of illness, adding that some of the students are suffering from malnourishment.

The principal said the terrorists demanded the sum of N110 million but later raised the ransom figure to N200 million.

He stated that bandits reminded him of the demanded ransom to be paid for the release of the other children in captivity.

Alhassan added that the parents of the abducted children had earlier paid N30 million naira as ransom but the children have not been released

The Islamiya pupils were held for 88 days and 11 hours according to the timeline of the days and time they have spent in the bandits’ captivity.

Recall that the Abducted students of Yauri Federal Government College have been in captivity for 70 days while the remaining abducted students of a Baptist School in Kaduna will be spending their 52nd days in bandit captivity.
