APC, PDP Lack Capacity To Lead Nigeria To The Promise Land – Baba-Ahmed

The spokesperson of the Northern Elders Forum (NEF), Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, has slammed the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Nigeria’s failure.

He accused the two major political parties of not thinking of ending insecurity for their selfish interest.

Baba-Ahmed stated this while speaking on Wednesday at the 2021 Ripples Nigeria Dialogue.

Kick APC, PDP out

Baba-Ahmed, who recently joined the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), accused the APC and PDP of lacking the thinking capacity to lead Nigeria to the promise land, stressing that they can’t provide the kind of leadership Nigeria needs.

He however stated that Nigerians must unite to chase out these parties as seccession is not a choice.

“We need to rebuild the trust between us to protect ourselves because anyone who thinks this country has no future hasn’t worked at all,” he said.

Baba-Ahmed added: “It is very possible to have restructuring and we must kick out APC for failing to restructure the country.”

We sink together

He stated that the north and south are tied in more ways than you can imagine, adding that when we sink, we sink together.

According to the norther elder, the Fulani Herdsmen started killing northerners before southerners.

“We warned the president that this would snowball into something big but he refused to heed our advise.

Unfortunately this country would get worse from now until 2023, it is not our prayer but that is our reality,” he said.

Baba-Ahmed however commended former President Olusegun Obasanjo for always bringing both the north and south together to seek a away forward.

“The north is willing to talk to other regions because God created us to have both north and south,” he said.
