The Leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Sheikh Ibraheem El-Zakzaky, has said plot by some people in position of authority to bring down the sect since the 2015 massacre in Zaria have failed.

He said this at his maiden interactive session with leaders of various chapters and forums of the Muslim group in Abuja.

El-Zakzaky said, “If the culprits launched the all-and-out attack with a view to crushing the IMN, they had not succeeded with anything other than raising the Movement to a level which was not before expected. We could say 2015 Zaria massacre is really a trying period which affected the public.”

According to El-Zakzaky, in spite of the severe persecution targeted at members of the IMN since his incarceration in December 2015, the organisation has succeeded in recording huge milestones.

The eminent Muslim leader also condoled with the families that lost their loved ones and prayed God to granted them eternity in paradise.

In other news, Bandit terrorists who abducted students and staff of the College of Agriculture and Animal Science, Bakura in Zamfara State have demanded N350 million ransom.

Naija News had reported the kidnap of some students and teachers of the College of Agriculture and Animal Health in Bakura, Zamfara State.

The abduction was confirmed by the Deputy Registrar of the college, Aliyu Bakura while speaking with BBC Hausa.

Speaking to The PUNCH on the telephone, the Provost of the College, Alhaji Habibu Mainasara said, the bandits have called him.
