The presidency has revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari will on Wednesday exit his ongoing five-day self isolation.

Naija News reports that the isolation was imposed by the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on international travellers entering the country.

Recall that Buhari had been self-isolating since his return from an 18-day trip to the United Kingdom (UK) on Friday where he attended an Education Summit and subsequently went for his medical check-up.

Despite being in self-isolation, Buhari has continued to attend to official documents including the signing of the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) on Monday.

Speaking to newsmen, Buhari’s Media Assistant, Garba Shehu, revealed that all documents brought to his attention are sanitised before they reach him.

He said: “The President is truly isolating as required following international travel.

“During this period, which ends on Wednesday, he will be attending to urgent and critical documents.

“It is important to note that all documents coming to Mr President are screened and sanitized with specialised equipment before and after they reach him.

“The PIB bill just signed passed through the same process.”
