Shehu Sani Knocks Buhari Over Extended Stay In London For Medical Attention

Former lawmaker, Shehu Sani, has accused President Muhammadu Buhari-led government of showing less concern to the insecurity issues ravaging the country.

The 8th National Assembly lawmaker pointed out that the Federal Government has placed more priority on the arrested leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, and his counter part, Sunday Adeyemo better known as Sunday Igboho who is agitating for Yoruba Nation.

Sani lamented that banditry was more of a security threat in the country than the two agitators. According to him, the northern part of the country would be a safe place if the Federal Government fought terrorism with the same energy it used against Kanu and Igboho.

He said: “The herdsmen and bandits are carrying arms, unleashing terror on innocent citizens, but the agitations of Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Igboho are working towards breaking Nigeria.

“It is a reality that the government has laid more emphasis on going after separatists than going after terrorists.

“If the government invested a fraction of the energy it spent going after self-determination separatists to fight terrorists, those of us in North East Nigeria would have been saved. Fighting banditry and terrorism are of higher prioritNorth-Eastan going after Nnamdi Kanu or Sunday Igboho,” Shehu Sani told Sun.
