Three ISWAP Commanders, 43 Terrorists Killed In Borno

A young lady who was part of the Chibok girls abducted by terrorists and her Boko Haram/ISWAP husband have surrendered to the Nigerian Army.

The lady is understood to be part of the over 200 students abducted from Government Secondary School (GSS) Chibok, in Borno State by the Boko Haram terrorists in 2014.

She was married off to the terrorists during their time with their captors.

Though the identity of the female student is yet to be revealed, PR Nigeria stated that she and her husband have surrendered willingly to the Nigerian Military.

They surrendered and presented themselves to troops at an unknown location, within the Lake Chad region according to the source quoted.

“The terrorists’ resolve to surrender may not be unconnected with the destruction of their enclaves and camps by the Nigerian military airstrikes and ground bombardment; and the outbreak of killer diseases together with food scarcity, which have badly hit the terrorists.

”In fact, there are many ISWAP and Boko Haram members that are willing to surrender as soon as possible but the military and other security services will ensure the needful is done for national security,” the officer said.

Meanwhile, former lawmaker, Shehu Sani, has accused President Muhammadu Buhari-led government of showing less concern to the issues of insecurity ravaging the country.

The 8th National Assembly lawmaker pointed out that the federal government has placed more priority on the arrested leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, and his counter part, Sunday Adeyemo better known as Sunday Igboho who is agitating for Yoruba Nation.

Sani lamented that banditry was more of a security threat in the country than the two agitators.

According to him, the northern part of the country would be a safe place if the federal government fought terrorism with the same energy it used against Kanu and Igboho.
