Some gun-wielding kidnappers on Tuesday reportedly stormed Anguwar Kwankwashe in Suleja, Niger state.

Reports reaching Naija News at this time confirmed that the assailants entered the community around 1:35 am on Tuesday and abducted nine people.

Two persons, however, reportedly escaped from the kidnappers while they are being carried to an unknown location.
An eyewitness, who pleaded anonymity, said the kidnappers invaded some houses and a hotel around 1:35 am on Tuesday. Also, one Ibrahim Oga who said he witnessed the event said: “They split into groups to attack homes from where they took their victims.

“It was even the sound of their gunshot that woke me up. I walked quietly to check the window and discovered that the kidnappers, some of them even dressed like soldiers”.

A vigilante, who preferred anonymity, said he alerted men of the C Police Division immediately he heard sporadic gunshots in the area.

He said the vigilante and the police from the C Division engaged the kidnappers in a shootout but they escaped with their victims.
