The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has already commenced moves to woo members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that resigned on Tuesday.

Naija News understands the members that resigned explained they could no longer work with the party’s current NWC.

Those who resigned include: the Deputy National Financial Secretary, Deputy Legal Adviser, Deputy National Auditor, Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Deputy Women Leader, and Deputy Organising Secretary.

They however added that they remain loyal to the party despite resigning from their positions.

But reports have emerged that the APC has already established contact with the affected officers with a view to convincing them to switch camps.

The Prince Uche Secondus-led NWC of the PDP has been struggling to keep the party together, following sundry allegations bordering on financial recklessness and poor leadership.

One of the national officers who resigned told Vanguard in confidence that the meeting which Secondus hurriedly convened on Monday did not yield much saying, “The ruling party is already talking to us and I won’t blame anyone who chooses to leave. The chairman is not doing enough and we are really amazed at the manner he spoke at the meeting. It is a shame!”
