Nigeria's Divine Oduduru was controversially disqualified from Heat 5 of the men's 100m race at the Tokyo Olympics.

Nigerian sprinter Divine Oduduru has been disqualified from the 100-meter hurdles at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.

Oduduru was disqualified from the men’s event for a false start.

He is the second Nigerian player to be disqualified on Saturday after Blessing Okagbare was suspended from the competition altogether for failing to pass a performance-enhancing drug test.

The Nigerian men’s basketball team, D’Tigers, was also knocked out of the tournament today after Italy lost 71-80.

Three days ago, 10 Nigerian athletes were banned from competing because they had not been tested for performance-enhancing drugs.
