Bandit terrorists have demanded a fresh ₦50 million ransom for the remaining 83 students of Bethel Baptist High School, Damishi, Kaduna.

It was gathered that the terrorists had demanded ₦100 million from parents for the release of their children in batches from their captivity.

According to a source, parents contributed ₦100 million for the release of the children, but the bandits ended up releasing only 28 students, promising that others would be released in batches.

But the bandits are now demanding another ₦50 million to release the remaining 83 students in their custody.

The source explained that the parents are now helpless and devastated by the new development, having sold all they have to be able to raise the ₦100 million demanded by the bandits.

But speaking to newsmen, the proprietor of the school and President, Baptist Conference, Kaduna, Rev. Yahaya Adamu Jangado, denied report of a fresh demand.

Jangado stated that he was not aware of the new demand. He added that there is no update from the bandits on the issue.
