Gunmen Kidnap Popular Nightclub Owner In Bayelsa

Bandits Abduct Taraba Varsity Students

A popular nightclub owner, Tari Ajanami, has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen suspected to be kidnappers in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital.

It was learned that Ajanami, who is is the owner of the popular nightclub, known as club 64, was abducted at about 6 pm on Wednesday at his building project site along Otiotio Road in the state capital.

According to Daily Trust, Ajanami was at his building site to pay workers when the gunmen whisked him away to an unknown destination.

While some eyewitnesses claimed the abduction may be connected to the lavish manner he celebrated his birthday recently, others argued that he may have been kidnapped for ransom demand.

The spokesman of the Police Command in Bayelsa State, SP Asinim Butswat, who confirmed the incident via a text message, said the operatives of the command have been alerted and are on the trail of the abductors.

He said that; “The incident happened on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at about 2100 hours, when three armed men kidnapped one Oyintari Ajanani ‘m ‘ 43 years at Otiotio street in Yenagoa.
