Suspected bandit terrorists have released the abducted traditional ruler of Jaba Chiefdom in Kaduna State, Gyet Maude.
Naija News had reported that the prominent monarch was abducted on Monday while working on his farm at Gitata community in Nasarawa State.
On Tuesday, it was learned that the terrorists demanded a N100 million ransom from his family and community before they will release the traditional ruler.
Speaking with Channels Television on Wednesday, one of the monarch’s children, Anthony Maude, said his father was freed on Wednesday evening after spending two days with his abductors.
He added the kidnapped traditional ruler returned to his palace along with some of his aides.
Maude, however, did not say if any ransom was paid or if the royal father was rescued by security operatives.
As of the time of filing this report, the police authorities and Kaduna state government are yet to confirm the release of the first class traditional ruler.
