Good day, Nigeria, welcome to Naija News roundup of Biafra/IPOB news headlines for today Tuesday, July 27th, 2021.

Below is a roundup of top stories on Biafra, IPOB, ESN, Nnamdi Kanu and other pro-Biafra groups:

DPO Gunned Down As ‘IPOB Militants’ Hit Uzodinma’s Hometown

Unknown gunmen have killed a Chief Superintendent of Police, identified as (CSP) Fatmann Dooiyor.

The murdered police officer who was the DPO for Omuma, Governor Hope Uzodimma’s community in Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State, was among those who tried to repel the attack.

According to reports, the gunmen invaded the facility on the day IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, was to be arraigned at a Federal High Court in Abuja.

The spokesman of the Imo State police command, CSP Mike Abattam, noted that six of the gunmen were killed by the police while 11 were arrested.

Nnamdi Kanu’s Lawyer Reveals How Nigerian Law Supports Secessionists

One of the counsels of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, Aloy Ejimakor, has revealed how the Nigerian law supports secessionists in the case files against the IPOB leader by the Federal Government.

Ejimakor while speaking with newsmen at the Federal High Court, Maitama, Abuja on Monday said “no Nigerian can be tried for any offence that is not supported by written law in the country”.

According to him, a section of the Nigerian constitution, ‘African Chattered of Human and People’s Rights, Ratification and Enforcement Act’, chapter A-9 laws of Federation of Nigeria”, permits self-determination.

Facebook Shuts Down IPOB’s New Page

The new Facebook page of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has been shut down by the social media giant.

A top leader of the outlawed group and director of Radio Biafra, Simon Ekpa, made this known in a tweet via his Twitter handle on Monday.

He wrote: “Our new Facebook page has been blocked restricted by Facebook.”

Naija News gathered that the social media giant suspended the new Facebook page of the group for breaching its rules and regulations.
