Chaos has been reported at Oke Onitea in Osogbo, Osun State after a commercial motorcyclist (Okada) was allegedly shot dead.

It was alleged in a report made available to Naija News on Tuesday evening that the Okada rider was killed by some yet to be known uniformed policemen at the Islahudeen Area.

A source who narrated the incident said the security men shot at the motorcycle rider for trying to overtake their vehicle and just drove away. The same team of policemen who are men of the Police Mobile Force were alleged to have also shot at a Toyota Camry on Monday because it had no registration number.

The development has resulted in a protest as other commercial motorcyclists trooped out to expressed their anger while protesting the death of their colleague.

Naija News learnt that the angry motorcyclists had blocked the Lameco/Stadium Axis of the Ring Road as at the time this report was given. They also set ablaze tyres at the Isahudeen Junction and blocking the major road and cars are turning away from the scene of the demonstration and seeking alternative routes.

The spokesperson of the Osun State Police Command, Opalola Yemisi when contacted by DAILY POST stated that she just got information about the incident and that she will get back to the medium later after she must have been updated with a formal report.

As at the time of filing this report, the lifeless body of the victim is still lying at the spot where he was shot to death.
