Naija News recalls the gunmen about two weeks ago, invaded Bethel Secondary School in Maramara Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State and abducted scores of students.

The affected secondary school is a boarding school located on the outskirts of Kaduna.

The bandits later freed one of the students on medical condition but are demanding ransom before other students are released.

The Nation quoted one of the parents as saying the church and parents were already working round the clock to raise the ransom.

He explained the bandits want N500, 000 per student, making a total of N60 million.

According to him: “Some amounts have been gathered but the church is trying to raise additional funds from members of the church and well-wishers to complete the money. We the parents have already been contributing to the pool.”
