Buhari To Visit United Kingdom

President Muhammadu Buhari is set to depart Nigerian for the United Kingdom for a four-day programme.

A source revealed that Nigeria’s president is scheduled to embark on the trip on Friday or Saturday.

According to a presidential source, the trip is being kept secret to avoid rampage or any “embarrassing protest” against the Nigerian President in London.

“President Buhari is leaving for the UK tomorrow or Saturday for a 4-day programme. The secret trip has not been announced yet to avoid rampage against him in London. Recall how his last trip attracted protests in London,” the source told SaharaReporters.

Recall that Buhari had on June 25th, 2021 announced the postponement of his medical trip to London.

Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, did not give reasons for the postponement in a statement he issued.

The statement only said a new date will be announced in due course.

Buhari’s scheduled trip to the UK had the time attracted condemnation for coming at a time Nigerian doctors were threatening to go on strike.
