Africa’s leading e-commerce logistics company, GIG Logistics, has announced the launch of its first 24-hour service centre in the Ajah area of Lagos State.

Naija News reports that the new service would enable customers drop-off/pickup their package anytime of the day.

Customers unable to drop-off/pickup during official working hours due to traffic congestion on the Island now have an opportunity to do so after work at GIG Logistics’ Ajah Experience Center.

The new 24-houir shipment drop-off/pickup is bound to improve customer experience and position the firm in Lagos State’s 24-hour economy infrastructure.

Speaking on the new service, GIG Logistics Director of Operations, Ocholi Etu, stated that Ajah was strategically choosen as the preferred choice due to residents failure to drop-off/pickup packages before closing hours.

According to Etu, customers in Ikoyi, Lekki Phase One and its environs always patronise the company on their way back from work but they fail to meet up due to traffic congestion.

“Ajah was chosen to pilot this 24-hour service because of the unique nature of the location. We noticed that the customers who work in Ikoyi, Victoria Island, and Lekki Phase One always want to patronise our services on their way back home or on their way to work,” he said.

“The constant holdup on that stretch makes it difficult for them to meetup our closing time or we may be closed when they are unable to beat the traffic. But with 24 hours service we have solved this headache for customers.”

Naija News reports that this new innovation is coming at a time GIG Logistics launched its oversea shipment services across all local networks in Nigeria.

The company, which remains Nigeria’s number logistics firm, had also launched GIGGO app, a service that has improved customer convenience and user experience.
