What Court Must Do Before Nnamdi Kanu’s Trial Will Continue – IPOB Lawyer

Aloy Ejimakor, a special counsel to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has stated what any court must do before continuing the trial of the Biafra activist.

He said the court would first conduct a trial within a trial on the grievous incident that forced Nnamdi Kanu to leave Nigeria and the incident that forced him back to Nigeria.

“No court of law, conscience and equity will overlook those two incidents and proceed to trial,” Ejimakor said.

He stated this on Wednesday after he visited Kanu at the DSS detention camp in Abuja.

The Nigerian government has been sued by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, over his continued detention at the headquarters of the Department of State Services.

The IPOB leader was reportedly arrested in Kenya and extradited to Nigeria to face treason charges.

A Judge of the Federal High Court in Abuja, Binta Nyako, had asked him to be remanded at the DSS custody.

The IPOB leader is facing charges bordering on treasonable felony instituted against him over his agitation for the Republic of Biafra.

‘Free Nnamdi Kanu’ – Popular Rapper Zoro, Calls For The Release Of IPOB Leader

Popular indigenous rapper, Owoh Chimaobi Chrismathner better known as Zoro has called for the release of the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.

Naija News reports that the federal government of Nigeria confirmed the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB leader.

According to the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami (SAN) on Tuesday, Kanu was arrested and brought back to Nigeria on Sunday.

Reacting to the News, rapper Zoro via his Instagram page called for the release of Nnamdi Kanu. He said, even though he has a lot to say, he’d leave the authorities to their conscience.
