Gunmen Kill Three Policemen, Two Others In Anambra

Unknown gunmen have killed three policemen and two other persons in Abatete, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State

It was learned that the assailants stormed Eke-Agu area of the community on Tuesday night in two Highlander jeeps and one Sienna car.

The gunmen were said to have started shooting sporadically into the air to scare off the residents and later set three vehicles ablaze during the attack.

According to the Nation, the gunmen abducted one unidentified young man from Uke after several shots fired at him failed to penetrate.

He was said to have been dumped in the trunk of the vehicle and whisked away to an unknown destination.

Reacting to the attack, Anambra Police spokesman, ikenga Tochukwu, said he has not received any information on the incident.
