Kano Hisbah Arrest 5 Men Over Alleged Homosexuality

Kano Command of Hisbah has confirmed the arrest of five men for allegedly engaged in homosexuality.

Naija News understands that the Sharia Police arrested the citizens at Sheka Barde, in the Kumbotso Local Government Area of the state.

Confirming the arrest of the individuals to newsmen in Kano, the Commander General of the Board, Dr Harun Ibn-Sina in the statement signed by his spokesperson, Malam Lawal Ibrahim, said the arrests were made following reports from residents of the area.

He said: “All the suspects confirmed to be above 20 years of age were apprehended on July 11 during a special raid,”

Ibn-Sina lament over the alleged actions of the youths. He expressed his gratitude to members of the community and security stakeholders for their cooperation and support in cracking down on corruption in the state.

Ibn-Sina said the suspects would be charged to court. He further urged youths to shun unwholesome practices as they were leaders of tomorrow.
