Two Injured As Gas Explosion Rocks Kano

A bomb planted by the Nigerian Army against Boko Haram terrorists has exploded killing three soldiers and wounding several others.

According to PeoplesGazette, the explosion rocked the entrance of 27 Task Force Brigade in Buni Gari after being triggered by a lightning.

Sources revealed that the bodies of the three soldiers killed in the incident have been evacuated to the military hospital, while those who sustained injuries have been receiving treatments.

Identities of the soldiers involved are being withheld to allow enough time for military authorities to notify their family members.

A spokesman for the Nigerian Army did not immediately return a request seeking comments about the incident.

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the Nigerian military to speak to bandits in a language they will understand.

The president gave the order in a statement on Saturday by his special assistant on media and publicity, Garba Shehu.

Buhari gave the order in reaction to the latest bandit killings in Zamfara and Kaduna States.

He called for the crushing response to the killing of innocent citizens in the rural communities.

President Buhari expressed the nation’s sorrow over the continuous loss of lives in the country.

He urged security agencies to do everything possible to prevent the recurrence of attacks with impunity.

The president, however, said the nation, its military and the entire population needed to summon the courage required to defeat the bandits and terrorists.
