Chaos As Petrol Tanker Crushes Six Students To Death In Delta

Chaos has been reported in Effurun, an area in the Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State after a fuel tanker crushes six students to death.

Reports reaching Naija News at this time confirmed that the tanker which is laden with about 45 thousand litres of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol), on Thursday clamped on some students who were returng back from school along the NPA Expressway near the Army Barracks in Effurun.

Six of the students reportedly died while an unspecified number of students were trapped.

Men of the Delta State Fire Service were seen trying to quench the fire from spreading as residents and sympathizers battled to rescue the students who were trapped.

It was gathered that the tanker while on a very high speed, somersaulted, veered off the road and crushed the students who were standing by the road after closinggg.
