Prominent people across Nigeria and beyond on Tuesday paid their last respect to the founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nation Church, T B Joshua, at the tribute service/service of songs hosted in his honour.

The wife of the late televangelist, Evelyn Joshua, the cleric’s son-in-law, Brian Moshi, his daughter, Serah Joshua, Promise Joshua and Heart Joshua were at the event on Tuesday.

Naija News had earlier reported that the wife of the late founder of SCOAN during the service of songs said her husband shielded her from those who wanted to soil their name.

In a tribute, Joshua’s widow, Evelyn, said that her 31 years of marriage to the late prophet was not without trials.

Evelyn who has been declared as the leader of the church in her statement said, “For gold to become gold, it must pass through the fire.”

“You grew the church from an eight-member assembly sitting on a mat, to the ‘level we are today.”

“You grew me to be the woman I am today.”

“I stand here today to say thank you for choosing me, caring for me and nurturing me.”

“Thank you for being a good father to the children, thank you for shielding me from those who were bent on soiling our lives; you were undeterred.”
