Biafra: IPOB ‘Founder’ Breaks Silence On Nnamdi Kanu’s Rearrest

The self-acclaimed founder of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Emeka Emekesiri, has reacted to the arrest and re-arraignment of Nnamdi Kanu.

Recall that IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu was reportedly rearrested in Kenya and extradited back to Nigeria on the 27th of June, 2021.

He was then arraigned before Justice Binta Nyako who ordered his remand in the custody of the DSS until his next trial date.

Kanu, who is facing an 11-count charge of treason, treasonable felony, terrorism and illegal possession of firearms, among others, jumped bail in 2017 and left the country, only to re-emerge in Israel and then in the United Kingdom.

Now facing criminal charges following his re-arrest, the federal government accused the pro-Biafra activist of orchestrating the killing of 60 people.

The Senior Pastor of Divine Mercy Church, Olatobiloba Peters has charged Nigerians to pray for the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.

The cleric in a statement on Tuesday said the IPOB leader may not survive his detention, because “I see Kanu in a coffin.”

Peters further stated that IPOB and its followers would declare war on president Muhammadu Buhari if its leader dies while in custody.

He charged the Nigerian Government to be careful in handling the IPOB leader.

Nnamdi Kanu: Biafra Supporters To Storm British Embassy In Germany

Supporters of the Biafra Nation are planning on staging a demonstration against the arrest of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu in Germany.

The demonstration has been fixed for 10 a.m on July 9 at the British Embassy in Berlin, the country’s capital.

The IPOB leader is also a citizen of the UK, and the UK government has promised to intervene in Kanu’s arrest.

He has been accused of ordering the murder of security operatives and attacks on government establishments.
